Recently Ajay.al released a new version of CyanogenMod based on WillingMagic and Squadzone’s build .
It is said to have all bugs fixed
Do check that version if you are a fan of CM

hello, i have “Android 2.3.6 KERUK” installed and i know how to use Odin.
right now i fail at installing this version.
can someone please make a short outline how to install CM7.2 stable ?
first you have to instal cwm via odin….
then instal this cm7 via cwm…..

but it said something like error on mounting and opening cache log…
any idea ?
Here is the basic stuff .
Arkas and Stock ROMs use Stock Recovery on rfs File system
Perseus and CM,CyanMobile use CWM on ext4 file system
error mounting cache log is due to rfs mismatch
CWM is useless on Stock ROMs and Arkas and gives that error (cache is not mounted )
Flash CM or Perseus and then do a factory reset
You can safely install CM with CWM as it wont hinder the installation
No worry dude just select option “install the zip” and select cm7.2…ajay_stable.zip

Offtopic: How do i install the old android market? new one is too slow and i want to revert to old one.. i uninstalled new market using titanium and then downloaded 2.2.6 versn used root explorer and moved it to system apps gave it the req permissions rebooted but it keeps crashing whenver i start it.. tried many other apk too but same result… Can anyone send me old working market?
New market works fine when i replace the old one same way…
Check the market version …You must be using Froyo one .Try the 2.2.11 version
I’m on ganymede 3 now. So should I flash stock before flashing cwm (to install CM7) ?

Just one issue though – I installed this version of gapps-gb-20110828-signed and it says on the play store that google search is incompatible with the phone!!

hello i have ported lewa os with this cyanogenmod
it is different from lewa os from willings base rom
as found in airasz blog but features are the same
it is a fast and stable rom for everyday use
according to my test it get 2 fc out of 10 times apps usage
it get all thing working but only some apps bugs
1.wifi,bluetooth,data,autorotate,hotspot etc …. works
2.very fast and overclocked to 800mhz
3. multiple toggle
4.power manager/power saver.
5.sms and call block
6.enable/disable google service switcher
7.network firewall
8.data usage manager
9.shortcut to release free memory
It has followings bugs please help how to solve
i am too noobish to solve it alone
1.Torch dont ever use it fc
2.launcher and apps frequent fc
3.player unstable
4.missing usb tether
5.calender and some apps in chineese
according to my test it get 2 fc out of 10 times apps usage
this is need several minute for first boot and fc on fisrt run
ignore it restart it 3-4 times

and i have already working on joyos only following bugs has to be fixed
1.keyboard fc every time but installing any other keyboard solve it
2.lockscreen in landscape is not looking good but usable
3.system apps not change orentation sometime but not a big problem
ok no problemo i have already cancelled my miui project but i have stabilized the rom and i have taken only some apps,libs from your rom as a trial but it is not working with my rom.i have ported my miui from galaxy mini rom and fit miui rom
but have launcher and dialer bug still exist
and i will not release any miui rom from your source it will only my effort and will take your permission before release rom builded from your miui rom
although i have cancelld my miui project my rom has
1.gapps integrated
2.youtube+download
3.reodx rom
4.touchwiz launcher
4.fixed keyboard length
5.and using ajay rom it is bug free for daily use
it is based on galaxy fit rom
and next lewa build 2.1a will have
1.torch removed
2.more stable

so wait for the next build

Here is a guide how to use my joyos Rom
1.use espier as default Launcher
2. don’t flash gapps because they are pre-installed
3.admin rights setting fc for espier launcher
4.restart at least two times
5.first time slow boot or fc
6.still getting fc do a complete wipe
7.now use it as a fruity rom
8. don’t complain it is not completely themed or lack some joyos features
9. auto-rotate not works for some sys apps
all problem will be fixed in next release

actual my knowledge with stock ROM is poor i have tested your ics callisto and found it awesome but it is only fully functional to Ak1.5 i will try to give you some apps ported from galaxy mini roms for your ics callisto and want your to release it for cyanogenmod too. i made a xperialised ROM for callisto but very unstable and laggy and dropped the project and deleted the whole and start making joyos build
why dnt you integrate your ics callisto with cyanogenmod 7.2 and start building a rom
i found potential of cyanogenmod and cwm recovery is vast for rom developing and why not making a community for callisto only
I dont like cm7 really
And I always find that Arkas (thanks to our skilledchaos) is very much stable than cm and smooth like vaseline and fast like Gallardo 😀
AND My point of view
You really are working hard but the thing is that the miui, joyos, lewaos all are based on port of some other phone with different screen resolutions and not official build . Hence I myself discontinuing miui gb and miui v4 as it requires a lot of hard work and patience and some times no achievements (Example: Tried Very much to get resized proper launcher2.apk from miui but no achievements)
And hence I came to Arkas and Arkas 1.5 is heavenly awesome to start new journey
ICS callisto is 90% from scratch
Only Framework is ported and other apps are all from scratch so no fear of any bug
I too found a xda link which has themed music player , phone,dialer which I can use in my ics callisto but not getting enough time .Hence I asked for your help

you must strictly use arkas because framework port for stock is so easy but requires patience
Just decompile your framework and decompile themed framework
resize png manually or software and .9 png strictly manually
and compare colors.xml, styles.xml all xml in drawable folder
and little bit of manual thinking and theming

Anvesh, you shlould really expose all of your (nice) work on these different ROMs on a dedicated page (XDA thread, some blog post…) instead of spreading info on non-dedicated pages. It will make it easier for everyone. 🙂

After flashing your rom, market is not appearing anymore. Gtalk and Google Search is appearing though. I flashed gApps multiple times but with same result. Also, i am not able to login into Google Services.

flash that ziz in CWM recovery. that will install the market so you can get your Gapps back from there. worked for me.

this is actually a pretty good rom and its 2.3.8 looks sweet if you take away that ugly bottom task bar in settings.
yeah so . recently my screen ( display ) started flickering ( like a tv with no cable but with colors of my wallpaper )and i had to open and close the slider to fix that . and suddenly one night my display went away . the screen’s touch is still okay . it responds . the screen is black but not actually gone . i can see little light in it . im using droid explorer to screencast it .
so is it a bug or is my screen actually gone ?
Flash a stock rom and check again .If problem persists ,your screen is gone

i used odin to put gingerbread and odin showed it workied properly . but screenshot shows its stuck on bootloader . its repeatedly showing the sumsung glowing sign .
yes …Cyanogenmod and perseus uses ext4 .Samsung stock and arkas use samsung rfs ..
When you want to switch the ROM ,you need to do a factory reset to boot properly .
Boot to recovery and do a factory reset .
If only i would get money for repeating this statement on and on ..
I tried to downgrade to stock ROM 2.2 using ODIN but got the phone soft bricked, can’t even get into recovery or boot screen. At the bit where the reboot is supposed to happen, everything just shuts down. I can’t flash anything.
Try reflashing to stock gingerbread !!you cant revert back imo !
Thats what happened when my phone was pseud bricked …If i am to just theorize hypothetically , your IMEI is corrupted …
Basically the amss of Froyo doesnt get flashed and Froyo BL doesnt boot unless Froyo amss is present
You are stuck to GB bootloader and probably your chip is a bust ….
If this is the case ,use the phone in airplane mode as portable media player …
Well, I managed to get the phone up and running on stock GingerBread. And I figured out later, that I can’t downgrade using a 1 tar file method, I have to find a version of Froyo that has the 4 required files, which isn’t available on sammobile at the moment.
