It’s the half build of our “planned” dark energon .Some people wanted the stuff .here you go

What this build doesnt contain ?

Support for the KD1 radio .

All the kernels supporting KD1 are ext2 or jfs which are powerful and one boot kernels .They melt on a reboot (Think Dark Mercury on steroids ).One is slightly stable but has problems with busybox/root .They are excessively powerful .

This is the last Froyo ROM . I dont think my device can handle any more cross – Flashes .My /data is toast it seems .

If any volunteer want the ext2/JFS ROM ,just comment .I may upload it on saturday .

  Technically the real 0.6 I havent uploaded since it bricks /data .It’s ext2 based rom .But after 4 reboots ,app crashes ,errors and non – bootable errors make things hell .On plus side its fully compatible with kd1 .Unless some one really wants to destroy their device it’s futile to upload .

    I think the ext2 based Dark. Energon is the best – not the rfs one – 😉
    since cm7 build still use froyo bootloader it’s easier to test both powerful rom 🙂
    I will try it soon after you have time to upload it

hi.. thank you so much for your awesome ROM.. i,ve use leviathan and it works great except for the deep sleep problem.. but set the cpu to 710-245 perfomance deadline seems to take care of it.. and now… i want to try dark energon.. can you tell me how to flash it? do as one package or how?

sorry for my noob question… but i cant find the md5 file.. all i got after extract is boot in zip file, data.rfs, system.rfs
what should i do? does anyone have flash it? can you tell me how to flas it with odin?

  You extracted a bit too much .
  extract darkE3.7z tto get DarkE3.tar and rename DarkE3.tar.md5
  Flash the file .Even if you dont rename it ,it will work .

owh.. lol.. flashed just now.. looks good.. ok. i,ll tested it.. btw.. does my rom is full or what? titanium said my rom is only 9mb left after i flash it.. btw.. i didn,t wipe data or cache before i flash it.. should i?

  yeah .try wiping data and cache .9MB is a bit too less .but system free space should be around 10MB .

  Oh yeah .I forgot the jump over leviathan is phenomenal .
  infact the arkas 0.6 ext2/jfs/reiserfs is near perseus 2 in performance.but finite boot bug is persistent and for regular use it is not feasible.
  This build has performance almost equal to stock gb with shitload of optimizations (nearly 60 revisions for rfs and 150+ for 0.6 ext2)
  Perseus X was built to remove the shortcomings of ext2 but still it is instable.
  
  Currently I have no idea what fonts are present on leviathan or energon.so I can’t help you.

  Flozd a2sd should take care of everything but if you want you can use link2sd since froyo is much more open than GB

    Good evening fellow, I have some doubts, which file system I use in sdcard for this function to work correctly? Because I was using at the EXT2 LINK2SD and have had several problems. Do you recommend using the EXT2 without link2sd, or even FAT32 with or without LINK2SD? Please help me, now I am very thankful!

    ext2 is prone to corruption .There is no right File system .ext4 is much better than FAT32 .Only the second partition should be ext2 ,first partition is always vfat .
    Go for ext3 or ext4 for second memory card partition .

  You need to pump it to 800Mhz when you want . Default should be 691 Mhz

The font used does not support Turkish characters;
for example : ğ,Ç,Ş as

  245-691 conservative for normal (Default)
  122-600 conservative for battery save
  600-748 ft Savaged Zen for extra juice
  xxx-800 performance for extreme performance

HI I have a a problem with superuser. I rooted with super one click but it always reverts the changes.

    Because when I try set clockspeed on 245-691 conservative for normal (Default) with No frills CPU control it says superuser didnt allow. Then I check superuser and it looks like unrooted.
    
    One second problem the wifi is falling, I did the *#526# for loading but it says unsecsufull.

I hav a very very weird phone…….fone was working perfectly fine….but all of a sudden…..restarts by itself…n never goes ahead of gt-i5510………:O……SO..gonna revert to leviathan……(sigh)….

btw….what is the special keyboard on 0.6????….i only hav d stock one…..

still get the ‘Black Screen of Death’ when I leave my phone with wifi turned on…

  It shouldn’t happen . I have tested it with wifi on for 5 hours and it doesnt go black .It does consume a load of battery though .

Hey skilled, i’ll install Dark Energon. There isn’t Nofrill CPU in that rom. should i backup it with titanium backup or Dark Energon is 800Mhz default?

I read that chainfire drivers require 1Ghz+ processor but the rom is only 800 mhz stabillity.do they work on our phone??

  TBH .I never tested chainfire . flozd did .he compiled the drivers and some games do work on our phone .True chainfire doesnt have v6 support .They only support v7 processors .It’s not the clock speed that matters .It’s the instruction set .

just got back to leviathan.. when using dark energon my phone likely to restart oftenly.. and the battery run out fast.. and there,s a bug on music.. miui player force close.. mixzing run with bugs on its sound.. can you help me deal with it please.. cause i need music on my phone.. thx skilledchaos..

    yesterday, i installed Nofrill CPU and tested a lot of frequencies and governors. But my phone restart very quickly (about 5min).
    So i reflashed Dark Energon. Today, my phone restarded 3 times and freeze for 5mins 2 times (i think it stay in the “245mhz sleep mod”) .
    i hope you understand my english.
    
    i noticed an another problem : after 15-30mins connecting to a wifi network, my phone disconnect and don’t find the network. i have to reboot it to reconnect.

I like this rom but autoproxy (from xda) don’t work with them. I need autoproxy to use applications with my web browsing plan.

I think the problem is autoproxy need iptables with nat. Arkas 0.6 have it in?

  Yeah it should have . But DE is pretty messed up at permissions front.
  I will have to reupload a finer build soon .(some time this week )
  Use this command in cmd and try again

I’m already use DE rom for 3 days, and found that my phone always restarting after standby more than 5 minute when answering call, could you fix that problem?? thx skilledchaos

  Dark energon was supposed to be a jfs or ext2 rom.
  after 50 kernels or so ,we switched completely to ext2
  If you want to take a leap of faith,try dark energon build 666 ext2 rom which has support for KD1 radio and somewhat more stable in my opinion .
  I have used Arkas 0.6 Jfs/reiserfs but it’s too much for begineers to handle .(like perseus x)

Flashed this rom and so far so good besides one major problem. My Galaxy 551 auto restart when I close slide keyboard and/or pressing the home button after i send sms out via handcent. I had this problem on stock rom. I thought after flashing to custom rom, it will fix this problem but I guess not. I am using Go Launcher EX. It is very annoying when my phone restarts itselfs five times a day esp after I sms someone. Can anyone advice me what to do? Thanks in advance.

I love the look of this but I can’t get calls and texts to work consistently. Some calls only work when something is plugged into the headphone jack or sometimes my computer. Sorry for commenting on an old thread but I’m really at a loss. Can anybody help?

    I really appreciate it, but from further examination I don’t think it’s your ROM. I’m having the same issue from multiple ones I’ve flashed. I’m new to this and would really like to have my phone working entirely again. I can’t even find the stock ROM to flash it back.

    I think UGKC5 is North American ROM .I cant remember but I have seen someone from Canadian/French Forums backing up the stock ROM . I will have to dig up the link since it was a quite while . Maybe will let ou know If I get the link .

I have done a Hard Reset on my G551!!!

    on my computer, Odin does not recognize my G551- with All drivers from Kies, Samsung USB Composite Device. I’ve reinstalled Kies too.

I have a problem.. Odin’s ‘COM Port Mapping’ never appears yellow anymore after i installed 0.564. I’ve been trying to test out Dark Energon but Odin won’t detect my phone.

Any solutions?

There are three files in the package from one of them there is boot.img file. Is there any risk to flash boot.img. flashing for the first time and its my sisters phone .
